Linen Pleated Front Early Victorian Shirt (SH140)
This shirt was taken directly from an original garment. It shows the transition around 1820 of the basic square cut of previous centuries towards a more tailored front using pleats to control the fullness on the bib.
The collar remained very high and the sleeves were still full with a drop shoulder.
